These Shoes Were Made For Walking.....

We awakened to sunshine, a clear sky and an enjoyable temp in the low 20's, after last evening's refreshing rain! We enjoyed a slow morning, with breakfast 'at home' and then headed out to find the beaches of Barcelona and any other interesting sights or sounds we might encounter!!

We walked and walked and walked....in total, we actually walked about 6 hrs, in total!!!! We covered a lot of ground and saw ALOT of people!!!! EVERYWHERE we went there were crowds of people.....it was quite mind blowing given that it is October and not July/August!!!!! We enjoyed a 'takeaway' picnic lunch in a park and a drink at a beach cafe......otherwise, we walked and looked and marvelled at the vibrant energy in this bustling city!! Here are some pics from our self-designed walking tour.....

There were AMAZING yachts docked in the harbour.....who owns these sea mansions????!!??.....I was mesmerized by their grandeur!!

The Barcelona beach was beautiful and surprisingly full! The waves of the Mediteranean Sea were forceful! It was fun watching the surfers and paddle boarders challenge the waves!!! It was awesome to have put our feet into this sea's water!!!....

We stopped for a rest & drink at a hopping beach cafe......

And then kept on walking.....

We were excited that we had successfully navigated our way through sooooo many areas of this grand city! Once home, we put our feet up, for a bit of rest, then made our way out, again, for supper! Luckily we found a great little Italian restaurant, close to our place,  where we enjoyed the comforting flavours of pizza and Cesar salad!! It was a great day!

 Tomorrow.....we fly to Dubrovnik, Croatia!!!!!
