Sept. 22nd- After yesterday's 'busy-ness', we, all, enjoyed a luxurious lazy day, spent close to 'home'!! Late breakfast and a few cups of coffee/tea on our terrace.....walks to the town centre, off and on, for coffee, beer, other delicious, cold beverages (like fruit smoothies & freshly squeezed orange juice), snacks and some leisurely shopping! We also did a few loads of laundry and Duff did an awesome job of cleaning the apartment!
Brian, Drlilah, Lawrence and I, really enjoyed an appetizer of tomatoe and cheese bruschetta at one of our old cafe haunts, owned by Pedro (introduced in my blog 3 yrs ago). It was really nice reconnecting with him, today!! Joan and Duff checked out the Tavira Castle and garden, before heading home to make supper!
Then, it was time for us to go home, to enjoy a delicious supper, of grilled, fresh salmon steaks, an amazing potatoe/vegetable dish, a crispy salad, prepared and 'hosted' by Joan & Duff! Dessert was a selection of local baking! As usual, the wine, spirited conversations and laughter flowed freely!!
Our evening walk led us to a few more shops and artisan street vendors, as well as some great musical entertainment at sn outdoor bar! It was a perfect lazy day of simple tasks & activities! We all loved it!!
Always look forward to your posts and of course the foodie photos. The drinks looks divine. The tile work is reminiscent of what we saw in Brazil . .. brings back many wonderful memories.
