Traipsing Through Toronto!

Sept 14th: Our day started at 2:00 AM (which is a very harsh hour for people, like me, who love their sleep!!)! We were showered, dressed, packed and waiting, at the door, for Brian and Delilah's arrival! 

We drove, together, to the airport, where we met Duff and Joan!

 

After some anxious moments....the first being, my inability to find my passport in my new fancy-dancy,  anti-theft purse with its bazillion 'secret' pockets and the second being, when Delilah got told she was not a 'registered' passenger and would be put on 'standby'!!! (How does this happen when these flights were booked in April?????) We were thrilled when all of this got sorted out and the laughter/excitement could then begin!!

 

Upon landing safely in Toronto, we hit the ground running!! With a 10 hr layover in the Big T, we decided to let our adventures begin with some fun in Toronto!! We took public transportation downtown and had many hours to explore this city's vibrant downtown core! Yonge street....The Hockey Hall Of Fame....Ripley's Aquarium....Roger's Centre....The CN Tower (from the ground up)....The Toronto International Film Festval.....a street food fair at the Union Station and.....an awesome ending to a great day, at the Loose Moose Bar & Grill.

We even found an RJC sign for our alumni to adorn....

It was a great day of fun and exploration!!
